Straight From My Heart

The writer in Psalm 62 prays to God and offers words of assurance that say, "My protection and success come from God alone.  God is my refuge and a rock where no enemy can reach me....Oh my people, trust Him all the time." (Psalm 62:7,8a)

I am convinced that these are the days of God's movement in power and grace.  I feel it in the atmosphere.  In the midst of God's awesome display, there are yet obstacles before us.  Knowing this, we seek out the eternal power of God through God's word.  It is the Word of God that assures us that nothing can stop the promises of God to them who seek to do God's will.

The writer in the letter to the Roman Church says these words. "Yet, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." (Romans 8:37) The guarantee is that no weapon formed against us shall prosper.  Therefore, we move forward trusting that God will provide strength in our times of fear and weakness. We forge ahead asking for God's blessings and the faith to believe that God will respond to our faith.
