Story: 65th Birthday Celebration
On June 29, 2008, Grier Heights Presbyterian Church will observe it 65th Anniversary of praising the Lord and acknowledging him as our personal Savior. Our theme for this celebration is "Unified for God to be Glorified"! 1 Peter 4:10&11 (King James Version). The Reverend Antonia Lawrence is the guest preacher for the celebration. Anniversary teams have chosen the books of the bible to identify their group.

In January, the Session started the year with an inspiring and educational retreat at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The Reverend Warren Lesane, Jr., Associate Presbyter for Church Development, facilitated our discussions as we shared our visions, prayers and concerns for Grier Heights Family and our commitments to God through faith in Jesus the Christ. The Session is here for you. We are constantly working to uphold the trust you have bestowed upon us. We need and strongly ask for your continued help and prayers. We are all in this together.
FYI - the Stated Session Meetings are the 4th Monday of each month, 6:45pm.

Women's Day Program Sunday

Imani Joye Sanders, one of our own favorite daughters gave an awe inspiring message for to a filled church, was the guest speaker for Grier Heights Presbyterian Women's annual Women's Day Program, April 27, 2008. After Imani's the inspiring message and music from the outstanding Women's Choir, a reception followed in the fellowship hall.


Presbyterian Women also honored three women for their focused commitment and dedicaed service to PW with their highest honor - the Honorary Life Membership. Receiving this prestigious award were:
